My Wedding Client 6/6/13

On July 6 2013, I had my first wedding client, She liked the traditional wedding smokey eye with a pop of blue in the inner corners and finished with blue eyeliner on the water line.

That wedding glow is from the "whats up" Highlighting stick by Benefit Cosmetics.

 Products Used:
  • Tarte -360 Ceaseless Primer
  • Mac eye shadow- in Blank Type
  • Smashbox eyeshadow- in Mocha
  • Blue eyeshadow- from Zoeva Palette
  • Tarte- Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara
  • Rimmel london- black eyeliner
  • Rimmel london- 006 deep blue eyeliner
  • Sephora- color correcting quad
  • Rimmel london- Match foundation in 101 Classic Ivory
  • Lorac- blush in Exposed
  • Benefit cosmetics- highlighter in Whats up
  • Rimmel london lipstick- in 104

I didn't want to go overboard with the highlight so I added it only in areas that light would reflect from her face.
Such as her cheekbones, the bridge of her nose, on her brow bone, etc.

Although this photo isn't as clear as it should be I really love the brides facial expression.

The Naked Basics Palette

On November 29, 2012 Urban Decay Launched The Naked Basics Palette

But why was this product so in demand? And why did it run out so quickly? Or why did people demand so many reviews?

Box on the left, Actual product on the right.

Believe it or not many people came to the conclusion that this palette was essential in every woman's makeup drawer.
It contains 6 beautiful matte colors, meaning each color is a neutral matte color with a multipurpose use.
Women see this and GO CRAZY!
We see the ENDLESS opportunities of smokey eye looks or multipurpose looks.
 This product retails for $27.00
-In sephora
-In Ulta
-In the Urban Decay Website

Colors are swatched from left to right:
  • Venus- The only non matte color in this palette. It is a very frosty white with a hint of shimmer. Can be very useful as a highlighter in your eye area.
  • Foxy- This color is a yellow matte color, this can be used a base for the lid area since it's so natural and matte.
  • W.O.S- This color is very similar to "Foxy" except instead of being slightly yellow, it has a pink color to it.
  • Naked 2- I'm in LOVE with this color. It is the IDEAL crease color, you can build this color or make it soft on your crease area for a natural look.
  • Faint- Is a smolder brown with grey pigments in it.
  • Crave- Is a very DARK black.
(all these colors are very chalky however, they are also very pigmented)

This was a very soft smokey eye using ONLY the Naked Basics Palette.

Overall - I give this palette a 7.5/10

It is VERY pricey for such simple colors.
The eye-shadows itself are very chalky.
HOWEVER, they are very pigmented and its a nice collection to have in your makeup drawer.

Basic colors are a MUST to have, whether it's this palette or individual colors, I strongly suggest every gal to have a couple of these colors.
